Wiistream Announces Exciting New Partnership with World Baseball & Softball Confederation (WBSC).

Baseball and Softball is played in 198 countries and the WBSC are the governance organisation behind both spots. It was clear that both sports needed a state-of-the-art OTT solution that could distribute events, leagues, competitions and championships to a global audience all year round.

The World Baseball & Softball Confederation (WBSC) has been recognised as one of the most improved international federations in terms of governance following the publication of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) Fourth Review of International Federation (IF) Governance.

With production partners in place around the world already, Wiistream’s purpose was to create a new state-of-the-art platform to deliver WBSC content worldwide, with specific monetising tools. WBSC will be streaming content from the end of July with more and more live baseball and softball planned for Q4 and in to 2023. Future developments include inter-continental play-offs and Baseball 5 broadcasts.

Wiistream have partnered with WBSC to develop, manage and deliver the new Gametime OTT platform which will allow Baseball and Softball fans around the world to watch live and on demand WBSC affiliated events. The first event delivered live on the Gametime platform will be the 2021 U12 Baseball World Cup from Taiwan City, July 29th to August 7th. All Baseball and Softball World Cups from U12’s to Men and Women’s competitions will be live streamed on Gametime.sport as well as other WBSC premier competitions such as Premier 12, Baseball 5 and some National Leagues

Gametime.sport is an extremely user-friendly site to access. All a user must do is register an account at Gametime.sport and browse to find the event they want to watch. Currently all events will be pay per view per event or tournament bundles can be purchased. All events can be purchased live or on demand and Gametime will be a one stop shop for all WBSC events going forward.
